TO SHOW OUR CONCERN FOR YOUR HEALTH

Once again, during May, 2011, our member farms successfully passed an initial audit under the voluntary Good Agricultural Practices & Good Handling Practices.  The audits were conducted by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service from the Dallas, Texas office.   We are proud of our Association and proud of our accomplishments.  See an example of our 2010 certificate below our Member Farms.  We are waiting to receive our 2011 certificates.

Food Safety on the Farm

• Food Safety Begins on the Farm: A Growers Guide (PDF)
  This 28-page booklet provides an overview of good agricultural practices that can be implemented on farms and in packinghouses, as well as background information on foodborne illnesses related to produce consumption. Produced by Cornell University's Good Agricultural Practices Program
